Services
Four ways to engage. Start with the Operations Diagnostic, then the work that fits. Each is scoped in writing and run by me directly. I work in the background; results carry your name.
Operations Diagnostic
Start here · fixed fee, agreed before starting
A short, paid look at how your operation runs today: where work stalls, where time and money leak, and what to fix first. Use this when you know something is wrong but not exactly what, or when you want to see how I work before committing to anything larger.
What you get
- A written findings report in plain English
- A ranked list of what to fix first, with owners and dates
- A clear recommendation on whether a Decision Sprint, a Growth Plan, or an Operations Reset is worth doing next, or whether your team can handle it alone
Decision Sprint
72 hours to 7 days · fixed scope
One question, one recommendation. Use this when a decision has been on the leadership agenda too long, when you need the ground truth before committing, or when something is stuck and nobody agrees on why.
Three forms
- Research Brief: a sourced, cited read on a market, a partner, a competitor, or a technology, built for the decision in front of you rather than as a report for the shelf.
- Rapid Diagnostic: root causes and a short action plan in 72 hours, when something is stuck and you need to know why before you spend money on it.
- Decision Brief: stakeholder interviews, a trade-offs table, and one recommendation with owners and dates, in five to seven days.
What you get
- A clear recommendation and the evidence behind it
- An action plan with accountable owners and dates
- The honest read from the meetings that matter, including what is not being said
Growth Plan
Fixed scope, then retained if you want it run
Set the direction and the business development strategy beneath it, then put someone on the tactics so the strategy turns into pipeline instead of a document. Use this when the market has shifted, when growth has flattened, or when the plan exists but nothing beneath it is moving.
What you get
- An evaluation of your offering, the market, and the partner landscape
- Target segments, positioning, and the partner or channel approach
- A roadmap that names owners, dates, and the guardrails that keep it from sliding back
- The pipeline structure that makes it real, and the operating cadence to run it
If you want it run
- Retained oversight of the tactics, partners, and multi-organization deals, month to month
Operations Reset
Ownership until the work is moving
For leadership teams facing a crisis, a stalled initiative, or a problem with no workable path forward. You have tried everything you know and the answer still is not there. The cause may be conflict inside the team, conflict outside it, resources, or all three. I come in, take ownership, and get you past that point.
What goes in, within days
- A one-page plan and a map of who owns what
- A daily operating rhythm and a communications tree
- A decision memo after every meeting that matters
What you get back
- The work moving on its own, handed back to your team with a written handover
- The block named out loud, which is usually the part no one in the room could say
How it worksScope by email, then work
No discovery process to sit through, no proposal theatre. You know what you are getting, what it costs, and when it lands before anything starts.
Describe the situation
Email a few sentences on what is stuck, who is involved, and what a good outcome looks like. I reply within one business day.
Agree a one-page scope
What I will deliver, by when, what it costs, and what I need from you, on a single page. If a call would help once you have read it, we have one. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Work starts within days
I do the work myself and stay in the background. Your team owns the decisions, the communication, and the results.
Questions people askBefore you email
The practical answers, so the first message can be about your situation rather than about how this works.
How long does an engagement run?
Most run one to twelve weeks. Retained and fractional work is month to month, so you are never committed beyond the month you are in, and nothing renews unless you say so.
Who actually does the work?
I do. There is no team behind me and no junior consultant on your account. That is also why I take a small number of engagements at a time.
Will anyone know you were involved?
Only the people you tell. I work in the background, your team owns the decisions and the communication, and I never use client situations as case studies or name clients anywhere.
What about confidentiality?
A mutual non-disclosure agreement is standard and I will sign yours before any material changes hands. Materials you share are used only for your engagement and returned or deleted when it ends.
Remote or on site?
Remote first, across United States time zones, from North Carolina. I travel to site when the work needs it, and the scope says so when it does.
What does it cost?
Fees depend on the scope and are stated on the one-page scope before you approve anything. There are no hourly surprises and no charges for the conversation that gets us there.
What if it is not a fit?
I will tell you in the first reply, and where I can I will point you to someone better suited. An engagement that should not have started helps neither of us.
Do you take interim or fractional roles?
Yes. Formats, roles, and the practical terms platforms and hiring teams ask for are on the contract and interim page.
Start with the situation, not a sales call
Email a few sentences on what is stuck, who is involved, and what a good outcome looks like. You get a reply within one business day: either a one-page scope with a price and a date, or a straight answer that this is not a fit.
